YEARS OF CARE

Founded on June 17, 2012, as Global Aid HANDs, the organization evolved into Aid & Development HANDs in 2024, particularly for operations in North Sudan. Born from the vision of a group of dedicated humanitarian professionals, HANDs was established to respond to the needs of people affected by conflict, instability, and poverty, especially in underserved and marginalized regions.

Over the past decade, Aid & Development HANDs has become a key humanitarian player, recognized for delivering essential aid and fostering sustainable development in some of the most challenging environments. HANDs have positively impacted the lives of thousands, continually building resilience in communities affected by crisis and disaster.

Our Vision

Safeguarding Futures, Unleashing Boundless Horizons.

Since its inception, Aid & Development HANDs has reached tens of thousands of vulnerable individuals, particularly in conflict zones. Our work has been especially vital in Sudan, where we’ve faced one of the most severe humanitarian crises in recent history. The war that began on April 15 displaced millions and severely disrupted essential services. Despite these immense challenges, HANDs remains unwavering in its commitment to providing life-saving assistance, advocating for human rights, and supporting displaced communities in rebuilding their lives. Beyond Sudan, HANDs continue to critically impact regions like Yemen, delivering essential aid amidst ongoing conflict.

Aid & Development HANDs is built on a foundation of responsibility and a strong commitment to humanitarian values. Our work is rooted in the belief that every person has inherent dignity and equality, as outlined in Article 1 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Our operations are guided by a neutral and impartial approach, ensuring that aid reaches the most vulnerable without discrimination. With a focus on human rights and ethical humanitarianism, HANDs strives to create meaningful and lasting impact in the communities it serves.

At HANDs, we prioritize accountability and integrity in everything we do. We hold ourselves responsible to the communities we serve, as well as to our donors, partners, and all stakeholders. Transparency and honesty are the pillars of our operations, from resource allocation to program implementation. The challenges brought on by the April 15 war in Sudan further underscore the importance of maintaining high financial and operational transparency standards. This ensures that every action we take benefits the people who need it most, reinforcing our commitment to responsible humanitarian work.

As global humanitarian challenges evolve, Aid & Development HANDs remains steadfast in its mission to uplift communities, protect the vulnerable, and foster long-term resilience. The April 15 war in Sudan introduced new layers of complexity, displacing millions and presenting significant operational hurdles. HANDs adapted by relocating its headquarters outside of Sudan to maintain neutrality and operational flexibility, ensuring our work continues without interruption.

Despite the difficulties, HANDs remains a beacon of hope. Our extensive experience and deep commitment to our founding principles ensure we uphold the dignity and rights of those in need. HANDs’ strategic approach—rooted in our vision and core values—ensures we will keep making a meaningful and lasting difference. We are committed to ensuring that no one is left behind and that every person we serve has the opportunity to recover, rebuild, and thrive.
